3. Chris Benoit Over Shawn Michaels and Triple H at Backlash 4/18/04
These three had an incredible match just a few weeks before at WrestleMania XX, and they went at it again at Backlash this time for Benoit’s WWF title.
Benoit was at his best, and Michaels was willing to take the fall since the match was in Edmonton, and anytime the WWF would be in Canada you know that Michaels was enemy number one for the situation between he and Bret Hart.
The three had another classic triple-threat, which are usually not that good, and for just over 30 minutes there were plenty of near falls and finally a submission by Benoit on Michaels to keep the strap, which he would lose that summer to Randy Orton at SummerSlam.
