6. Edge Over John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship Last Man Standing at Backlash 4/26/09

This bout came at a time when Edge and Cena were having a lot of PPV matches, and most of them were great bouts with a ton of back and forth. While Cena was the fan favorite during this feud, the company gave Edge their share of wins over ‘Super Cena,’ with this being one of them at the event following WrestleMania XXV in Houston.

The match went on last, and for good reason, with the two men getting close to 30 minutes to do battle. The ending though was the thing everyone talked about, as on the stage the two went back and forth, and The Big Show attacked Cena, chokeslaming him through a spotlight that then exploded.

Cena was unable to make the ten-count, allowing Edge to walk away as a five-time champion.
