2. Randy Orton Over Cactus Jack Hardcore match at Backlash 4/18/04
We go right back to the 2004 Backlash, where Randy Orton proved his worth in a hardcore match with legend Mick Foley, playing the role of Cactus Jack.
The visual of the night was Orton taking a back suplex on top of thumbtacks, with many of them sticking in his back. It was over the top but also a wild sight to see a young Orton screaming in pain during the 23 minute match.
It was somewhat of a ‘pass the torch’ moment between Orton and Foley, as Mick got over with the fans in Canada, but then allowed Orton to go over after a RKO did him in.
It was a crazy match, one that was a lot of fun and still holds to this day.
