10. Hollywood Hulk Hogan Over Triple H for the Undisputed WWF Championship 4/21/02 at Backlash

This was the WWE’s sort of ‘thank you’ to legendary figure Hulk Hogan, who was back with the company after a long stay away while with the WCW. He came back as ‘Hollywood’ Hogan, and in WrestleMania X-8 fought The Rock in a match billed as ‘Icon vs Icon.’ The match stole the card, and the crowd in Toronto cheered Hogan, basically making him back into the childhood idol that very night in the SkyDome. With momentum riding, the month after Vince McMahon decided it was a good idea to put him in the main event vs new champ Triple H, who at Mania 18 had beaten Chris Jericho.

The two pulled off a decent match with plenty of twists and turns. Both Jericho and The Undertaker interfered in the bout, and in the end nostalgia won out, and Hogan won the match, holding up the WWE Title one last time. The fans at Kemper Memorial Arena in Kansas City popped for the Hogan win and title switch, which lasted just a month when he lost it at the following PPV to Taker at Judgement Day.
