5. The Rock Over Triple H for the WWF Championship at Backlash 4/30/2000

Fans were ticked that the company allowed Triple H the main event win at WrestleMania 2000 (aka WM 16) a few weeks before, but on this night in Baltimore, The Rock would reign supreme and overcome not only HHH but ref Shane McMahon and Vince as well to take home the title.

Rock got help from an unlikely source in old rival Steve Austin, who while injured came down to the ring and used a steel chair to take out just about anyone he could to allow Rock to give the ‘People’s Elbow’ to HHH for the win.

It was a well planned and executed match that continued a great back and forth between two of the biggest WWF stars at the time.
