Players To Love And Hate In Week Nine Of Fantasy Football

Loves:

QB Ben Roethlisberger PIT $8,300
He gets here because of the injury to Bell. I like Deangelo Williams a lot honestly, but he is not the same cowbell back as Bell and his age is a big factor too. The Steelers strength is going to be Roethlisberger utilizing Brown to free up things for Wheaton and Bryant down the field. The Raiders have young corners which can bite on some plays to open up the deep ball. With a week to get the rust off Big Ben can return to form.

QB Derek Carr OAK $7,000
I’m going to love the other QB in this game too. Derek Carr has played well this year. At $7,000 he offers one of the better deals among QBs this week. The Steelers are known to have a weak secondary and if the good Raiders show up this week he is a great option for your team.

RB Chris Ivory NYJ $7,500
I’m not sure if we know who is going to play QB for the Jets this week. Fitzpatrick is listed as probable but either way the QB is not going to be healthy and the Jets can rely on the strong run game to try and get by. Ivory has taken on a workload in recent weeks and can do the same again with Jacksonville struggling against the run. He should want to get going again after being held to 17 yards last week.

RB Jonathan Stewart CAR $6,600
Stewart is finally starting to bust out of his shadow over the last few weeks notching three touchdowns in as many weeks. The Packers allowed a ton of yards to the Chargers and Broncos in back to back weeks. Stewart might be able to carve some more out too.

RB Deangelo Williams PIT $6,500
Believe it or not he is averaging just under 5 YPC this season. The Steelers get a favorable stretch against teams which helps boost Williams value. The Raiders surprisingly held Ivory to 17 yards last week, which is why he ends up here instead of my lineup.

RB Ronnie Hillman DEN $6,400
I don’t think anything needs to be said about how bad the Colts defense is. They can’t stop anything. Hillman enters a little banged up but he’s been the better of the two backs. I’ll take him over Anderson and look for him to find the endzone.

RB Jeremy Langford CHI $6,400
This is a great week for those mid $6,000 backs. He gets his first start so his true value is a little unknown but he could be worth the risk. The Chargers allow the most points to opposing RBs and being in the spotlight on MNF, Langford is going to try and show that he can be the lead for next year with Forte hitting free agency.

WR Odell Beckham NYG $9,000
He burned me for not putting him in my lineup last week. I hope he doesn’t do it again but he certainly can. It was a tossup for me between Jones, Beckham, and Brown because I like them all this week and recommend everyone starts at least one of them. Beckham is the hottest of the bunch and why he goes in here.

WR Demaryius Thomas DEN $8,400
Thomas has been doing well of late after a slow start. Manning returns to Indianapolis this week and is close to breaking Favre’s record. Something tells me he wants to do that this week so he can be looking to throw it on the porous Colts. Thomas will be his go to receiver.

WR Allen Robinson JAC $7,200
Robinson has had at least a TD in each of the last three weeks. The Jaguars play one of the best run defenses in the league so I look for them to throw the football over running it. Robinson will be the guy to watch out for although he may have a match with Revis Island.

WR Ted Ginn CAR $5,300
I don’t think he’s a glamorous option but he’s in play if you want that big value pick. The Packers defense is starting to rival the Colts and some of these other big offense teams. Newton has to put the ball to somebody so if it’s not Olsen than maybe Ginn can have a nice game.

TE Heath Miller PIT $5,800
Big Ben increases his value and it’s starting to show in his acquisition price. The Raiders are also among the teams that allow the most points to opposing TEs. I may be riding the Steeler train this week but I don’t think it will be a blow out. Miller becomes a redzone threat.

DEF Broncos $5,300
If you want to spend the max points on a defense this week then it might be worth it. The Broncos are your number one defense and Andrew Luck has looked terrible. The Broncos are a safe bet to put up some points for your team.
