Players To Love And Hate In Week Nine Of Fantasy Football

My Lineup:

QB Eli Manning NYG $7,800
Well I wish I could have had Eli last week. He gets another favorable matchup with Tampa Bay this week. He shouldn’t have to throw the ball like he did because Tampa isn’t going to put up 52 on the Giants, but he should be able to put up some TDs against the weaker corners.

RB Devonta Freeman ATL $8,900
I’m going back to Devonta Freeman this week. The 49ers give up the second most points to opposing RBs. They are also going to start Blaine Gabbert at QB so I don’t expect the offense to be on the field much. Atlanta can really control the game by feeding Freeman the ball.

RB Doug Martin TB $7,100
This was a tough call because there is some good mid-value RBs this week. My gut said to pick Odell last week and I didn’t so I’m not going to do the same. Doug Martin has put together a pretty good season and with Vincent Jackson and Sefarian-Jenkins still banged up, he could see a lot of touches. The Giants aren’t good against the run so he can have a good day.

WR Antonio Brown PIT $8,700
He found his way into my lineup again this week. Roethlisberger looked a little rusty last week but it was also his first week back and he played a really good Bengals team. They get the Raiders this week which are improved but still have some young corners. Brown can find his matchups and with no Bell anymore, Brown is going to be the primary option going forward.

WR Jarvis Landry MIA $7,000
Landry was the last guy to fill my lineup this week but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I think he gets a decent matchup this week. Miami has looked good since the coaching change except for the Patriots game but that was to be expected. The Bills have given up 34 points in back to back games which favor Miami being able to put up some points.

WR Stevie Johnson SD $5,400
He gets the value play role with Keenan Allen getting put on IR. The Bears aren’t the best team especially when we look at defense. They are a favorable matchup for San Diego who likes to throw the ball. Stevie should be the number two on the outside and with the TEs hurt he could see extra targets this week.

TE Jordan Reed WAS $5,700

In his first game back from injury Reed caught 11 passes and recorded to two touchdowns to go with it. That’s impressive. Desean Jackson is set to come back this week too so he may see less appearances but he has been the favorite target and you are going to have to pass a lot if you want to beat New England.

K Chris Boswell PIT $4,500
We’re going back to the cheap kickers based on how the money worked. I like Boswell the most among them. Pittsburgh should be able to move the ball against Oakland and he has put up pretty good numbers this year. The big concern was early in the year the Steelers always went for two with Roethlisberger. They kicked the XP on their only touchdown last week so I have some confidence they might not revert.

DEF Falcons $4,900
Blaine Gabbert is starting. Do I need to say anything else? Hyde might be out too and Boldin missed last week. This is an easy pick based on the 49ers lack of talent.
