Every post can help turn school spirit into real support for Windham High School
Windham High School is already making its mark in T-Mobile’s 2026 Friday Night 5G Lights program. The school won $5,000 of $5K Fridays and now the community is working nonstop to help Windham earn a place among the 40 division finalists. T-Mobile will select 10 schools from each division, and Windham is competing in the Midwest.
The Biggest Challenge Right Now
Right now, the immediate goal is not to win a public vote it is to make sure T-Mobile sees Windham’s need, hears its story, and recognizes the creativity, publicity, and school spirit behind the campaign. A powerful grant application matters, but so does the way students, families, staff, alumni, businesses, and neighbors bring that story to life. Every strong photo, video, news mention, community partnership, and public show of support can help demonstrate why an investment in Windham would create a lasting impact.
What Windham Has Won and What Comes Next
- Already won: Windham earned a $5K Friday award
- Top 40 finalist: T-Mobile will choose 10 schools from each of four divisions East, West, Midwest, and South. Every finalist receives $25,000 and a T-Mobile Home Game Celebration.
- Midwest division champion: The top school in each division receives $250,000, a Gronk Fitness gym, and a $5,000 student leadership award.
- Fan Favorite: One finalist chosen by T-Mobile employees receives an additional $25,000.
- Grand prize: One school ultimately receives $1 million toward a game-changing home-field upgrade, plus additional program benefits.
How You Can Help
- Keep Windham visible. Share the school’s story with local media, community groups, businesses, alumni networks, and everyone who cares about Windham students.
- Show the need clearly. Use photos, videos, and first-person stories to explain what improvements are needed and how a better facility would benefit students and the wider community.
- Be creative and authentic. Highlight traditions, school spirit, student leadership, community involvement, and the people who make Windham special.
- Use every required tag. On each eligible social post, tag Windham High School and @TMobile, and include #FN5GL and #Entry.
- Post consistently. Eligible posts currently provide entries in $5K Fridays, while a powerful and engaging social campaign can also help Windham get noticed as T-Mobile considers finalist status.
- Build momentum for October. If Windham is selected for the Top 40, the community must be ready to vote, share, and rally immediately.
Mark the Calendar

Let’s Put Windham in the Spotlight
Windham has already proved that its community can make an impact—two $5,000 wins in two weeks show what happens when people rally together. Now we need to turn up the volume. Post Windham’s story, show the need, celebrate our students, tag the school and @TMobile, and use #FN5GL and #Entry. Ask local businesses, organizations, alumni, friends, and family to help spread the message. The more visible, creative, and united we are, the harder it will be to overlook Windham when T-Mobile chooses the Midwest finalists.
Before participating, review the current contest details, school directory, playbook, and official rules on T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights website. Dates and requirements are subject to the official rules.
