Indians Fall in Game One to the Tigers 7-4; Three Takeaways From the Setback

1. Looking at Game Two

Ryan Merritt is up with the big league club, but Terry Francona said he was going to go with Dan Otero as the starter and make it a ‘Bullpen Game’ but possibly Merritt could take the bump at some point.

The Indians offense only pounded out six hits in game one, and despite the four runs again the team was behind early 4-1 and had to work their way through the game before they finally fell by three.

The Tribe is 1.5 up on the Twins as of now, but again it would be nice to get some distance between them, but they can’t seem to get traction as they win three, lose two, lose three, win two.

It’s been a maddening season with the team being inconsistent, but we will see if they can get back in the win column tonight.
