Five 2018 NFL Playoff Matchups We’d Love To See

3.) New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints

This one is all about the test of time with arguably the two best QBs in the playoffs who happen to be the oldest. With the window closing in on two future Hall of Fame QBs, Drew Brees (38) and Tom Brady (40) may not have many more chances to add another Super Bowl title to their resume so why not watch both of them duke it out one last time? They are clearly veterans capable of leading big comebacks and an exciting Super Bowl. Team wise they could also be the two best left in the playoffs as this was my Super Bowl prediction before the playoffs began.

4.) Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Minnesota Vikings

From the potential to the best Super Bowl to one that is all about storylines, Jacksonville versus Minnesota could set up an intriguing championship for several reasons. Jacksonville is one of four teams to have never reached a Super Bowl and are the only one of that group left this postseason. Minnesota could also become the first team to play a Super Bowl on its own home field. Then there becomes the aspect of the QBs in this Super Bowl. Think of recent Super Bowls, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Payton Manning, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson. Can you imagine adding Blake Bortles and Case Keenum to that list? Some people may hate it but I like the idea of it. It gives hope to a lot of teams that you can win without having the elite QB that are impossible to come by. Building a strong defense like both of these teams have and having a running game that can carry the offense and keeping the QB from making mistakes can get you there. The intrigues of this one would have me watching.

5.) New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons

The list wouldn’t be complete without this one. Last year was arguably the best Super Bowl to ever be played. After being down 28-3, Tom Brady led a comeback for the ages as the Falcons choked just as much as the Patriots capitalized on everything. In the end, the Patriots won one exciting game with more emotional swings than any sappy teenage meme you can think of. Who would not want to see a rematch of that? Atlanta has had a full year to sit on that heartbreaking loss while the Patriots have continued to push forward with their dominance. You best believe you get the most out of these two because of last year.
