Cavs fight back but fall in Toronto 116-104

 Big Shoes to fill

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love was the focal point of the offense for the first time since his Minnesota days on Wednesday night.

Now as frustrating as the Cavaliers defense was the offense was just as surprising. Everyone knew coming into this season that the Cavs offense was going to be much different, and tonight was a perfect example of what to expect from the wine and gold on offense. The Cavs movement was much more free flowing Wednesday night, compared to iso-ball nature of seasons past. This game ended up being a 12 point deficit for the Cavaliers but it really could’ve been much closer had the Cavs knocked down a few more shots. Now this could easily be said in every basketball game ever, but the Cavs lacked a “go-to guy” when the offense sputtered for stretches.

Overall Kevin Love played well in his first game as the lead man in Cleveland, but he has to be more efficient going forward. Love shot (5/18) from the field with seven rebounds and (10/14) at the charity stripe. Love did a good job of getting his shot in spots for him to successful but the misses added up, especially without another true “star” to help carry the load.
