2) Defensive lapse
Tonight’s game went into extra innings, and it never really had to. Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco gave up one run across the eight innings he pitched, problem was the defense gave up another.
The Indians defense had two errors Friday night, which was the 73rd and 74th on the season respectively. While the Indians are a top 10 defensive team in the league, you can’t have these mistakes allow runs. Especially when these game could have been over in the scheduled nine innings.
