Indians waste Carrasco gem, lose 3-2 to Blue Jays in 11

1) Road Warrior

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco struck out 14 Blue Jay hitters on Friday night. It was the 5th time in his career that he struck out 14+ batters.

Carlos Carrasco was on fire tonight, across the eight innings he pitched he not only struck out 14, but he also only walked one batter to go with 6 hits. So in other words it was not all that simple to get on base for the Blue Jay offense.

If you follow the Indians closely Carrasco having success shouldn’t surprise you. On the season Carrasco has been rather good this season regardless of where he has pitched, but has actually been slightly better away from Progressive field.

As you can see his numbers are just slightly better on the road this season. While it may not seem like a big deal to the average fan, this is the type of stuff that could affect the Indians starting rotation come the postseason.
