Vikings Lose ANOTHER Close One In Milwaukee, 6 3-62

Cleveland State continued its four-game road trip with an 8:00 PM ET tip-off at Milwaukee on Friday in which they lost while having a one-point lead with less than 15 seconds left in the game thanks to a Kasheem Thomas layup.

But with a last second jumper made by Milwaukee’s Brock Stull, the Vikings could not finish another close game down the stretch, even though this one was lost in the final second of the game.

Bobby Word led all scorers and finished with 18 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Rob Edwards recorded 17 points, 7 steals and 7 rebounds. Demonte Flannigan had a slow night with only points, 5 rebounds and 1 block. Once again, not all of the “Big 3” were on tonight, and Flannigan was the one who couldn’t show up.

The Vikings are now 6-14 overall, and 2-6 in league-play, after a 76-65 win at Oakland this past Monday. In which CSU never trailed as the Vikings earned their first road win of the season.

Next up for the Vikings as they continue their road stint is a 7 PM ET tipoff in Green Bay on January 23rd. The last time these two teams played, the Vikings lost by 1 in OT…that was less than a month ago.
