Players to Love and Hate in Week Five Of Fantasy Football

My Lineup:

QB Tom Brady $8,800

We have the highest scoring QB this year going up against Dallas. I like my chances with Brady. He’s got a lot of weapons that I don’t see the Cowboys being able to matchup with. If you like spending big at QB Brady would be my choice.

RB Le’veon Bell PIT $9,000

Bell hasn’t missed a step after missing the first two games with a suspension. Despite not having Roethlisberger he has still managed to catch seven passes in each game he’s played in and the Chargers have given up the second most points to opposing RBs.

RB Anthony Dixon BUF $4,500

He’s going to be my guess to be the most played player this week. It’s not often you can sneak out a starting RB for $4,500. He gets a favorable matchup against Tennessee and I don’t expect a lot from him, but if you can get something at all that’s another $3,000 you can spend elsewhere this week.

WR Odell Beckham NYG $9,000

There is no reason for ODB to not have a big game. He is just a freak. He gets a terrible 49ers defense and has had at least five catches in all his games even going back to last year. He should be up there as your big spender this week.

WR Emmanuel Sanders DEN $7,700

He is the cheaper of the two Denver WRs. Sanders also is the guy who usually ends up with more catches but not as much of the redzone threat. I like him going up against Oakland this week and could possibly see double digit catches.

WR Leonard Hankerson ATL $6,000

Hankerson has taken over Roddy White as the number two wide receiver in Atlanta. Atlanta has looked really good this year and they get a nice matchup against Washington. They rank in the bottom half in points given up to WR and at $6,000 comes in at a nice value play.

TE Antonio Gates SD $5,500

Gates could have a huge week. We already saw from opening day that Pittsburgh couldn’t cover Gronk. Gates comes back from a suspension and the Chargers are hurting on the line and at receiver. Gates could get a lot of looks with his years of chemistry with Rivers.

K Cairo Santos KC $4,600

Here is another guy that will probably be overplayed this week because of his monster performance last week. I’m playing him because he has a favorable matchup for cheap playing the Bears. When you looked at the matchups, it was either more money than I would want to spend on a kicker or a very shaky kicker. It’s been a rough year for kickers with a lot being cut so I’m going to take the reliable matchup guy while he’s still hot.

DEF Broncos $4,900

They are the highest scoring defense this season by a lot. They also get Oakland this week which has been up and down. They don’t really have a threat besides Amari so if they can knock him out of the way early, a banged up Murray won’t get it done. Plus the pass rush should meet Carr for some sacks.
