Players To Love And Hate In Week 17 Of Fantasy Football

Hates:

All Redskins Players
Yeah I hate everyone from Washington this week. They are permanently stuck in the four seed with zero chance to move. There’s no point in risking any injuries. I expect most of their guys to get pulled after a half and that’s not worth starting.

QB Aaron Rodgers GB $8,300
His fantasy points have decreased each of the last four weeks. He gets Minnesota who ranks as a top ten defense against the pass. He has not thrown for more than two touchdowns since the beginning of November. The Packers are a team I’m going to avoid for the most part this week unless there’s a better option.

QB Philip Rivers SD $7,300
Rivers might be tempting at that price but just remind yourself that he’s playing Denver with his limited crew. San Diego is right there at the top of the league with Baltimore for teams that injuries devastated their season. Rivers just does not have enough around him to even justify him being a value pick this week.

RB Matt Forte CHI $7,800
Forte is dealing with a bad back and vulturing RBs on his team. He might not see a lot of touches this week and that could hinder him. The Bears may try to give him one last hoorah for all he has done as a Bear but that might be pushing it. It’s better to just avoid him.

RB Karlos Williams BUF $5,800
He should be the starter again with McCoy unlikely to play. He got 17 carries last week but the Jets are the best run defense in the NFL. That’s a tough matchup for the rookie who has enjoyed some pretty good success this year.

RB Isaiah Crowell CLE $5,600
He rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown against Kansas City last week and gashed San Francisco two weeks before that. Pittsburgh is top ten in run defense and Crowell poses no receiving threat so he is pretty much limited to Austin Davis leading them down inside the five. I’m not convinced.

WR Mike Evans TB $8,000
Evans has done well with Vincent Jackson outside of the lineup. The Chicago Bears top five pass defense held him in check last week only allowing him 61 yards on four catches. Players have had big weeks against Carolina recently but I’m going to sell it more than buy it.

WR Calvin Johnson DET $7,900
He finally scored an alright game for him last week after having just one catch in each of the previous two weeks. Calvin has not been healthy all year and his injuries have really hampered him. The Bears held Mike Evans in check last week and this week it’s Megatrons turn.

WR Allen Hurns JAC $7,300
He had a big game last week since Jacksonville had to throw a ton after going down big early in the first quarter. Hurns makes his living off of getting touchdowns. He averages only about four catches a week and Houston is third in passing defense.

WR John Brown ARI $6,500
The poor soul who gets matched up with Richard Sherman is an early candidate for the hate list. Combine that with the fact the he has less than 40 receiving yards the last two weeks and he guarantees it.

Last Week:
QB Blake Bortles JAC 31.22
RB David Johnson ARI 20.2
RB Charcandrick West KC 6.6
WR Antonio Brown PIT 9.6
WR Golden Tate DET 7.9
WR Stefon Diggs MIN 3.9
TE Julius Thomas JAC 2.2
K Blair Walsh MIN 23
D Bills 11

Rank 87902/268244 (67.2%)

Best Week: Week 1
Total 148.32
