Players To Love And Hate In Week 17 Of Fantasy Football

ben-roethlisberger

Loves:

QB Ben Roethlisberger PIT $8,800
He tore the Browns up in the first game this year. He threw for 379 yards and three touchdowns. The Browns have not done anything differently on defense to improve. Last time they shut down Williams but I would expect him to break a little more free this time and not for Roethlisberger to do as much. Either way he will still have a big game.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick NYJ $7,800
I told you I’m big on the guys who need these must win games. Fitzpatrick has scored at least twenty points in four of his last five. The Bills are in the bottom half of the NFL in passing yards on defense. Fitzpatrick has a shot to lead the Jets to the playoffs and has a couple guys that could have a big day with him.

RB Adrian Peterson MIN $8,300
The Packers look to be a mess heading into the playoffs. The team has struggled on offense and defense all season but has won the games they needed to make the playoffs. In a cold late night game I expect the Vikings to try and run the ball down the Packers throat. Peterson could see 25+ carries this week.

RB Deangelo Williams PIT $8,200
The Browns were the last team to hold Williams to single digit fantasy points. The Browns also have the worst run defense in the NFL. One of them has to give this week. I’m more likely expecting the Browns to give. Williams is an easy start.

WR Julio Jones ATL $9,300
I’m not going to trust Matt Ryan but I’ll trust Julio Jones. He’s had a really good season and would have been even better if Ryan could hit him in the endzone more. Anyways he’s coming off a 9 catch for 178 yards and a touchdown performance against Carolina. He now plays New Orleans who allows the second most passing yards a game.

WR Antonio Brown PIT $9,100/Martavis Bryant $7,100
The two of them combined for over 300 receiving yards and three touchdowns when they played Cleveland earlier in the season. Just start anybody playing Cleveland this week.

WR Jordan Matthews PHI $6,600
He’s got over 100 and a touchdown two straight weeks. He matches up against the Giants who allow more passing yards than anybody else in the NFL. Maybe some of the pressure will be off the Eagles players with Chip gone and they will go out and have fun and put up some big numbers.

TE Travis Kelce KC $6,200

I really love these must win teams this week. They are going to lay it all on the line to make sure they win and have a chance to make the playoffs. Oakland has struggled this year covering TEs. Kelce has had his best stretch in a long time lately catching at least six balls the last two weeks. His size makes him
redzone threat and with a lot of QBs hurt he’s one of the better plays this week.

DEF Bengals $5,000
I’m not buying the Ravens doing what they did to Pittsburgh to Cincinnati. The Bengals have a shot for a first round bye still on the line and their defense is much better than the Steelers. Mallett still has maturity issues and there aren’t the weapons that scare you right now for Baltimore. The Bengals are a safe defense to start.
