Indians march on to 12 straight wins; three takeaways

2. Ramirez keeps rolling

Jose Ramirez continued on the impressive streak he’s been on as of late.

Ramirez hit a crucial solo-homer to right field in the eighth inning when the Tribe had just a one-run lead. Ramirez ended the day going one-of-three from the plate, but the importance of that hit can’t be overstated as far as insurance runs go.

That home run was also Ramirez’s 23rd of the season, and his 76th total extra-base hit. It was the fifth home run that Ramirez has hit on this 11-game road trip, and his third in two days.

It’s almost comical that anyone questioned if he had lost his touch after the All-Star Break.
