Mat Insiders: Six Former WWF Stars That Should Be in the WWE Hall of Fame

2. King Kong Bundy

Quick trivia question – name the only wrestler who was in a WrestleMania main event from WrestleMania’s 1 to 7 that’s NOT in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Yep – the only one is King Kong Bundy.

Why?

Bundy was a very good worker and a ‘monster’ heel who people were legit afraid of and he gave the aura of being a guy that could hurt people and give then WWF Champion Hulk Hogan a run for his money. He did that in 1986 when Vince McMahon needed a challenger for Hogan for WrestleMania 2, and in the Los Angeles portion of Mania, Bundy and Hogan went at it in a steel cage for the WWF Title.

While Bundy didn’t win, he gave a good showing, and continued on as a believable heel that with his ‘Avalanche’ corner splash and five-count big splash were two big impact moves that usually marked the end for his opponents.

It’s a shame he’s not a member of the Hall.
