3. ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude

For four years from 1987 to 1990, Rude was one of the top heels in WWF, and his IC Title win over the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania V in Atlantic City put him at another level and he right away was in the main event mix. His feuds with Warrior, Jake Roberts and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper were always at or near the top of the card. Having Bobby Heenan as a manager didn’t hurt him, and made the character even more over as a heel.

Rude passed away in 1999, but make no mistake, he’s more than worth a spot in the Hall of Fame as one of the best workers and characters in WWE history.
