Mat Insiders: Six Former WWF Stars That Should Be in the WWE Hall of Fame

4. Hillbilly Jim

One of the more fun characters in the 1980’s, Hillbilly Jim was trained by Bob Orton, and came in as a fan of Hulk Hogan, eventually being ‘trained’ by Hogan to help him against members of the Bobby Heenan family. While never a main event guy unless tag teaming with Hogan, Jim was always a solid mid-card guy who got over for his ‘Don’t Go Messin with a Country Boy’ song entering the ring.

While injured he brought in his “family” members Uncle Elmer, Cousin Luke, and Cousin Junior and those were also characters WWE fans got behind during the late 1980’s. He’s always been one of the nicest guys in and out of the ring, and deserves to be in the Hall.
