Mat Insiders: Six Former WWF Stars That Should Be in the WWE Hall of Fame

Honky Tonk Man

5. The Honky Tonk Man

The longest reigning IC champ in WWF history (for a record 64 weeks), the Honky Tonk Man clearly is deserved of being in the WWE Hall of Fame, and why he isn’t is anyone’s guess. He does have a long time real life feud with his cousin, Jerry Lawler, but why that is keeping him out of the Hall is a head scratcher.

One year, two months and 27 days – the longest Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship reign in history is more then enough to get Honky into the Hall, and he should have already been in. He did induct (in what appeared to be a cruel joke) Koko B. Ware into the Hall the night before WrestleMania 25, when in reality it should have been the other way around. Why he’s not in is a crime.
