Top 15 Fantasy Football Busts Entering 2016

Martellus Bennett

TE Martellus Bennett NE

Bennett seems to be a like or hate guy for fantasy this year. There are people that say the Patriots run more two TE sets than any other team in the NFL. That Bennett is still good and with the New England offense he will still have a big year. I don’t like him because he is a second TE. I know the Patriots did wonders when they had both Gronk and Hernandez but Bennett isn’t the same caliber player. Brady will miss ¼ of the season and I don’t see Garoppolo making Bennett into a fantasy stud. The Pats have a lot of options on offense but I’m not relying on a second TE to be a stud.

D/ST Broncos

I’m not a fan of the Broncos defense this year. They lost some of their key defensive players in Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan. Those guys helped make them into a top notch defense. Looking at the rest of the offenses in the division, while they are not overly scary offenses, the Chargers should be better with a healthy offensive line, the Raiders should be better with the younger guys getting another year of experience and the Chiefs should be about the same. The part where the Broncos are going to be hurting the most is their own offense. Peyton Manning could manage a game better than anyone in the history of the NFL. His IQ was off the chart. Insert Trevor Siemian or Mark Sanchez and the offense is going to be a lot worse, putting the defense on the field for more plays. The longer the defense is out there, the more points they will likely lose. I expect them to take a dip from being a consensus top three defense to somewhere in the seven to ten range at best.
