NFL Week 2 Power Rankings

bengals

11. CINCINNATI BENGALS 1-1

Last Week: 7th

Division losses are never easy to handle no matter how early or late in the season. Most coaches use the cliche of stating that any division game counts as two on the schedule. In the rivaled AFC North that may run true, especially for the regular season hero Bengals. Game note: Cinci only finished with a grand total of 46 yards rushing.

12. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 1-1

Last Week: 9th

It was defense vs. defense this past week against Houston. The Chiefs tried to mix up the look on offense, splitting carries between Charcandrick West and week one juggernaut Spencer Ware. Both had productive days on the ground, combining for over 100 yards, but that wasn’t enough to propel them over the Texans resulting in a rankings drop.

13. OAKLAND RAIDERS 1-1

Last Week: 10th

Derek Carr found 11 different sets of palms to stick the rock to this past week, but couldn’t pull out the magic W this time as they fell to the Falcons. Carr has had strong performances these first two games, it’s the defense that needs to figure out how to do their jobs. back to back games giving up 35 points isn’t doing much for the high powered offense, who would be burying teams if the other side of the ball could get its act together.

14. BALTIMORE RAVENS 2-0

Last Week: 14th

Baltimore was able to erase a 20-2 deficit after a blocked extra-point attempt put the Ravens on the board and the Joe Flacco-led offense never looked back. 25-20 read the final score and Baltimore is sitting at 2-0. Dennis Pitta returned and didn’t skip a beat after totaling 102 yards on 9 catches and a TD.

15. NEW YORK GIANTS 2-0

Last Week: 17th

Rookie of the Week nominee Sterling Shepard caught every target this past week. Catching 8 passes and racking up 117 yards was a notable performance for the G-Men squad and we all know Eli loves throwing to multiple receivers so the dynamic might change a little bit. However, I wouldn’t fret if you think its going to take away targets from Odell Beckham Jr.
