NFL Week 2 Power Rankings

21. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 1-1

Last Week: 26th

Injured reserve was quite busy this past weekend and unfortunately Danny Woodhead found himself in the waiting room. If there is any consolation to the loss, second year back Melvin Gordon looks good; damn good. Philip Rivers is still doing the old QB thing, throwing 4 TD’s and finding the new guy on the block, Travis Benjamin – 6 rec, 112 yds, 2 TD.

22. DETROIT LIONS 1-1

Last Week: 19th

Close loss for Motor City. A bigger loss was announced on Wednesday when Ameer Abdullah was pronounced to injured reserve. This could mean a jump in touches for Notre Dame alumni and shifty running back, Theo Riddick.

23. MIAMI DOLPHINS 0-2

Last Week: 21st

An epic comeback story fell short in New England for the Dolphins after trying to rally back from a 28-0 deficit. Ryan Tannehill ended the day with 389 passing yards as the final score read 31-24. Arian Foster, who had a promising pre-season which resulted in being awarded the starting job, left the game early with a hamstring injury.

24. TENNESSEE TITANS 1-1

Last Week: 29th

DeMarco Murray is everything Tennessee wanted and needed at that position after Bishop Sankey didn’t turn out to be the bell-cow they expected. The battle tested veteran found himself touching the ball an awful lot this past Sunday, ending the day with 19 touches and 145 all-purpose yards.

25. LOS ANGELES RAMS 1-1

Last Week: 31st

What a way to christen the new stadium — with a W of course. Head coach Jeff Fisher has had Seattle’s number for most his tenure with the Rams and this past weekend was no different. The defense was relentless, bringing pressure to the offense and halting any big plays.
