NEO Sports Insiders Week 12 NFL Power Rankings

Johnny Manziel

30. TENNESSE TITANS (30) 2-8

These last three teams are equally interchangeable on our rankings list. However, we see Tennessee with the most potential for no bursting into flames these last few weeks as every game from here on is a stepping stone for the Titan’s foreseeable franchise quarterback, Marcus Mariota.

31. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (25) 2-8

It seems Philip Rivers is never going to receive any help this year. There are some things you can blame the pure nature of the game and that it injuries. From the jump this team has to use the ‘next man up’ thought process and there’s no doubt the offensive line has struggled mightily. But hey, their QB and organization isn’t a side show or a mockery to the rest of the 31 NFL teams, or so I’m guessing, and they are not last because of it.

32. CLEVELAND BROWNS (32) 2-8

“How you gonna get fired, on your day off?” – Every Cleveland Browns fan to Johnny Manziel. The decision made by head coach Mike Pettine to bench the second year QB can be debated till blue in the face. If there was an understanding of a ‘no-tolerance’ policy structure put in place by Pettine, then by all means you have to credit him by sticking to his word. Of course the question of when do we start policing every player’s weekend off arises, but the history of Manziel’s “antics” build a frail case for the young man by way of Tyler, Texas.

The Browns will host the Ravens with Josh McCown at the helm and now it is very clear what Mike Pettine’s, and the front office, intentions are going forward for the remainder of the season – do whatever is possible to win, not hope for potential to evolve into production. Pettine has made it clear the Browns are still in support of Manziel, but as far as starting for the team he still needs to improve on deafening his notorious status outside of the facility.
