Indians Win Streak Snapped at Six Following 6-5 Loss to Orioles; Three Takeaways from the Loss

1. RISP Problems

Monday night there wasn’t much the Indians didn’t do well at the plate, hitting the ball all over the park in the blowout win.

Tuesday night they did put up five runs, but it could have been a lot more, leaving 11 men on base including some when the team could have taken the lead late in the game.

Bradley Zimmer had a shot to break the tie in the 7th with the bases loaded and two outs but grounded out, and Jason Kipnis had a similar shot with Austin Jackson on second in the 6th.

Issues with runners in scoring position are going to rear their heads once in awhile, it’s just a shame it had to happen on a night when the team could have used one big hit to either extended their lead early or take the lead later in the game.
