Indians place Leonys Martin on 10-day DL; recall Greg Allen

CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Indians have placed Leonys Martin on the 10-day disabled list for a “non-baseball condition.” They have also recalled Greg Allen from Class Triple-A Columbus.

On Wednesday Martin was out of the lineup and the team said he became sick on Tuesday night. Martin was acquired at the deadline on July 31 and has played in six games for the Indians, and has gone 5-of-15 so far from the plate with Cleveland.

Allen will be starting his fifth stint with the club, and in 47 games so far with the Indians he is batting .224 (33-for-147) with four doubles, two triples, one home run and 5 RBI.
