3. What’s the Story with Cookie?

Carlos Carrasco looked like a possibly Cy Young candidate in the first month of the season, as he breezed through teams in his first five starts, allowing 9 runs in 35 innings in going 4-0 with a no-decision.

In his last start against the Mariners he allowed five runs in three innings in an eventual 12-4 loss, and in game one against the Jays he gave up 6 runs on nine hits in 5.1 innings.

That means in his last two starts he’s allowed He had allowed 11 runs on 14 hits. Clearly he’s having some struggles right now, and while he’s not saying anything about any injuries, it looks like he might be suffering from something.

He’s due to be back on the mound in the day game on May 9th in Milwaukee against Junior Guerra.
