2. Bottom Sox Do the Job

As Cleveland.com’s Dennis Manoloff pointed out via Twitter, the two players that did the most damage against the Indians in the 12-10 Tribe setback were the 8 and 9 hitters.

Mitch Moreland and Christian Vazquez, two guys that you probably would want to face with the game on the line, both had big AB’s in the 9th, with Vazquez getting the three-run blast to win the game.

On the night the two players went a combined 5-for-10 with a pair of three-run homers and six runs total.

Ouch.

Moreland’s three-run blast came in the five-run Sox second that got the team back in the game to tie it at five, and then as pointed out, Vazquez ended the night with second three-run homer to win the game.

It was just that type of game, and one that hurt in a number of ways for the Indians and their fans.
