Bieber Stops the Yankees as Indians Early Offense Enough in 6-5 Win; Three Takeaways

2. Quick Start Leads to Success

The first two games of the set the Indians have jumped out to a lead, and unlike Thursday’s eventual 7-4 loss, this time the offense did enough to get the win.

They scored four runs in the first two innings, with huge hits by Yan Gomes and Michael Brantley to get pitcher Shane Bieber staked to a lead.

The first four in the Indians lineup also drew six walks, showing how patient they were at the plate against Yankee starter Domingo German who they knocked out after four innings.

They also outhit New York 8-7 in the win, with again the top three Indians All Stars leading the way going 5-for-10 with four RBI and four walks in the win.
