What Players Should You Look to Trade For in Fantasy Football

Kansas City Chiefs v Detroit Lions

WR Calvin Johnson DET
Some people are frustrated with his play this year and him only netting three TDs so far. I say he has at least five catches in all but one of his games. His time will come for breakouts but he’s consistent. The schedule includes the Packers twice, Raiders, Eagles, Rams, Saints, 49ers, and Bears. He can easily finish in the top five when it’s all finished.

WR Amari Cooper OAK
He’s a guy that I’m going after because of his talent and not his schedule like so many of these other people I like. He’s consistent and if the Raiders want to make the playoffs they need to go through him. He has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL. I’d make the move now before he blows up.

WR Alshon Jeffery CHI
He’s a guy that most likely is in the you have no shot to get category but I’d be trying my best. Jeffery is a monster with Cutler throwing him the ball. In the three games he’s played this year he has gone for 10.3, 24.7, and 22.6. You want that on your team. He only has one hard matchup against the Broncos remaining on his schedule.

WR Stevie Johnson SD

Philip Rivers has averaged an insane amount of pass attempts lately. The rest of the Chargers have been so hurt that they need somebody to throw to. Johnson can step into a role with the absence of Keenan Allen.

WR Kamar Aiken BAL
Steve Smith is now out for the year with an injury. Aiken is going to have to step up to fill his role. The Ravens are hurting at the playmaker position but Aiken is second on the team in targets so he is going to be the first one with the opportunity to step up.

TE Ben Watson NO
Watson has really come on strong the last few weeks and so have the Saints. As you can tell I’m starting to buy into the offense starting to show up. If he gives you some high upside why not try? Brees needs redzone threats and Cooks his top WR is not that kind of player.

TE Jordan Reed WAS
He has had at least five catches in every game he has played in so far this year. His risk is very high with him suffering a lot of injuries but that talent is definitely there. I would take my chances on his high reward potential.
