As mentioned in today’s preview, Bauer this season was 1-1 against the Twins before coming into tonight’s game. After the win, Bauer improves to 2-1 against the division rival.
Bauer’s final line for tonight was six innings, three hits, three walks and striking out 11, earning his 10th double-digit strikeouts. In the third inning, Bauer recorded his 200th strikeout of the year, making him the 11th different pitcher in Indians history to record a 200-strikeout season. He also struck out every Twins batter at least once.
