Recap: Indians beat the Twins 8-1 due to excellent pitching by Carlos Carrasco and strong top of the lineup; three takeaways from 8-1 victory

1.) Carlos Carrasco Bounces Back against Minnesota

Early on in August, the Indians sent Carlos Carrasco to the hill against the Minnesota Twins and the Twins jumped on Carrasco getting 10 hits against the starting pitcher. The Twins scored 3 runs that night and Carrasco only managed 8 strikeouts.

Tonight was a different story though compared to his start earlier this month. Carlos Carrasco pitched in 7.2 innings, only gave up 4 hits, walked 2 batters, and struck out 11 Twins hitters.

Cookie now has 20 career starts with 10+ strikeouts and five starts of 10 or more strikeouts this season. Carrasco ranks 6th all-time on the Indians franchise leaderboard in games of 10+ strikeouts.
