Players To Love And Hate In Week 15 Of Fantasy Football

Loves:

QB Carson Palmer ARI $8,700
He’s got at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six weeks. I already touched on why I like Michael Floyd this week and Palmer is no different. The Eagles run defense has struggled lately after looking really dominant early in the year but the mismatch is the Cardinals WRs against the Eagles corners. Palmer should capitalize on that.

QB Matt Stafford DET $7,800
I don’t think much needs to be said about the Saints defense. They allow the most points of any team in the NFL with three more a game than the next closest team. Calvin Johnson should play and on the big stage with MNF let’s see if Stafford steps up and delivers for a desperate Lions team.

RB Adrian Peterson MIN $8,600
Have fun picking who you want at RB this week. There are a lot of different options that you can pick this week. We can start at the top with Peterson. The Vikings offense runs through Peterson and the Bears allow 125 yards a game on the ground. Peterson has scored over twenty points in three of his last six.

RB LeSean McCoy BUF $7,900
Here’s a consistent choice if you want one. He’s scored double digit fantasy points in his last eight but has never had the big game. He’s gotten 19+ carries five straight weeks and goes up against the 24th ranked Washington run defense.

RB Lamar Miller MIA $6,700

Miami switched their coordinators among the numerous changes they made this season two weeks ago. In those two weeks Miller has rushed for just over 200 yards. San Diego ranks towards the bottom of the league in run defense and with all the injuries on their offense, they have not been able to put up many points or hold onto the ball for long. That can equate to opportunities for Lamar to break a big play like he’s done on several occasions this season.

RB Tim Hightower NO $6,300

Hightower got 28 carries in his first week as the top back against a top 10 Buccaneers run defense. Gurley gashed the Lions run defense last week. Hightower is not as talented as Gurley but I can see him putting up similar numbers to last week so 16 points for $6,300 isn’t bad.

RB Jeremy Hill CIN $6,000
Hill has been a disappointment for most people this season. I think he’s in line for a rebound week after recording just 16 rushing yards last week. The 49ers allow the second most rushing yards and last week allowed Isaiah Crowell to be the top rusher in the NFL. Hill should get more of the carries than Bernard so Hill would be my choice.

WR Calvin Johnson DET $8,000
He goes up here for the same reason as Matt Stafford. He has not been healthy all season and is nursing an ankle injury which is part of the reason why I think his numbers have dipped this season. The matchup might be too good to pass up here. Johnson should find the endzone at least once.

WR Sammy Watkins BUF $7,200
Buffalo is finally starting to realize what they have in Watkins. He now has at least 16 points in three straight weeks. Washington doesn’t have a great corner that can match up with him. All he needs is one play with his speed to get past the defense and make him worth your day.

WR Tyler Lockett SEA $6,000
He has 13 of his 41 receptions on the year the last two weeks. He has 90 and 104 yards and two touchdowns in those games. For a lower end option he is well worth the risk. I thought it was more of a tossup of who to go with between him and Baldwin. Both are capable of a big game. I love him this week.

TE Ben Watson NO $5,600

Watson has been the guy in New Orleans for Drew Brees. He has double digit games for two straight weeks and draws a favorable matchup with Detroit.

TE Richard Rodgers GB $5,500
He’s a big sleeper alert but a huge risk too. He’s got five touchdowns over the last six weeks which makes him viable but he also has less than 20 receiving yards in three of those. The Raiders allow the second most points to opposing TEs so take him if you think the risk is worth the reward.

DEF Chiefs $5,200

The Chiefs have double digit points in six of the last seven. The Ravens struggle to do anything on the ground recently and Clausen being QB hurts the Ravens as well. The Chiefs are right there among the hottest teams in the NFL and they will come out strong fighting for a playoff spot against a battered Ravens offense.
