Monsters Collapse In The Third Period, Lose To Grand Rapids 5-3

The Cleveland Monsters tried to continue their momentum on the road, as they took on the Grand Rapids Griffins.

After a scoreless first frame, it was all Monsters in the second period.

Brett Gallant started the scoring for the Monsters, as he scored at the 7:20 mark of the period to give Cleveland the lead 1-0. Oliver Bjorkstrand extended the lead to 3-0 after he struck at the 14:12 and 17:24 marks of the period. The Monsters were in full control heading to the third period.

Brian Lashoff scored at the 3:08 mark in what would become a third period that Cleveland will want to forget. Grand Rapids would score four other times after the Lashoff goal, resulting in a 5-3 Griffins victory.

The Monsters fall to 6-9-1-1 and look for redemption tomorrow at The Q against the Griffins.
