Jay Bruce matching donations for Hurricane Harvey victims

Outfielder Jay Bruce is looking to help out victims of Hurricane Harvey in his native Southeast Texas.

According to a release from the team, Bruce and his wife Hannah will be matching up to $100,000 in donations that fans make to Cleveland Indians Charities between now and Sept. 10.

All donations made to CIC in that time frame will be going towards helping those affected by Harvey.

“Beaumont, TX means everything to me and we feel like this is the least we can do to help in such a tough time for everyone,” Bruce said on his Twitter page. “We look forward to helping make our community whole again, and with the help of so many great people behind us, it’ll be that much easier.”

Fans interested in donating can do so here.
