Indians Split Doubleheader with Tigers on Saturday, Three Takeaways from Game 2

2.) Carlos Carrasco Earns His 9th Win

Tonight Carlos Carrasco continues his trend of not losing in back to back starts this season.

When Cookie gets at least 4 runs of run support, the team is almost guaranteed to emerge victoriously. Tonight was no different.

After the Indians had to go to the bullpen after Tomlin only went 4.2 innings and had to use three relievers to get out of Game 1, Carrasco threw 7 innings and the team only used Cody Allen and Andrew Miller to finish out the game.

Carrasco pitched 7 innings, gave up 4 hits, allowed 1 earned run, walked 1 batter, and struck out 7.

Tonight Andrew Miller slammed the door shut and earned his second save of the season.
