Indians shut out Rays for second straight night; three takeaways

1. Clevinger’s Outing

Dominance!

Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger pitched seven strong innings, giving up four hits, one walk and striking out nine on his way to a shutout.

First pitch strikes were very important for the righthander. Out of the 24 batters he faced, 18 were first-pitch strikes. Clevinger also did a nice job mixing his pitches and making it look easy tonight.
