Indians End the First Half with a ‘W’ – Top the Yankees 5-2; Three Takeaways from the Win

3. First Half in the Books

The Tribe sits at 52-43, and they are in clear control of the AL Central, but let’s be real – this team is not a finished product and needs work.

There’s going to be some moves made, no question about it, as they will look for a couple pen arms, and possibly also look for an outfielder.

This hasn’t been the easiest first half, as the team has a first month when the offense couldn’t hit, and then when they started to hit, the bullpen went in the tank.

Right now it’s safe to say they are probably the 4th or 5th best team in the American League, behind the likes of the Red Sox, Yankees, Astros and possibly the Mariners.

Again it’s not a stretch to think this is about where they were last season, but we saw where they ended up last year and here’s hoping they make the moves to do that again.
