Today the world lost a true rebel. He did things "HIS" way. Not always right, not always wrong, but He always followed what he believed in. He was diagnosed with Liver Cancer in early January of this year. As believer in Christ Jesus, he is now in Paradise. Today is a Sad day in the Guerrero Family. Rest In Peace Chavo "Classic" Guerrero Sr. #rip #nowinheaven

Chavo Classic was last seen in the wrestling world when he made an appearance in Lucha Underground talking to Rey Mysterio about the upcoming match with his son Chavo Guerrero Jr. in a Loser Leaves Lucha match.
Classic was in attendance for the match and turned on Mysterio when he attacked his son, allowing his son to win due to disqualification. Lucha Underground owner and promoter Dario Cueto, ordered to restart the match, Mysterio then hit the 619 on both Chavo Classic and Chavo Guerrero Jr. and won the match.
