Final Thoughts On Cleveland Browns’ Perfect Season Parade

Cleveland Browns fans or I should say most of them, realize that the Browns are nowhere near ready to compete for the Super Bowl. They’re not even ready to fight for a wild card spot. Browns fans aren’t asking for that. Browns fans just want a team that is respected and to an extent, feared to play against. Cleveland hasn’t had that in a very long time.

It’s bad enough the Browns have only won one opening week game since their return. That lonely win came back when Jeff Garcia was the starter at QB and Cleveland rolled Baltimore in Cleveland.
Next, two winning seasons and only one playoff appearance to show for that. And that one playoff game was a Wild Card game loss in Pittsburgh, when Cleveland blew a big lead in the second half. Kelly Holcomb threw for over 400 yards that game.
Cleveland fans know, that the first step back in getting the right people in the front office. Bringing in John Dorsey as the new GM looks to be a step in the right direction.
Getting rid of players like Kenny Britt is next. Britt is gone and now Crowell should be next.
After that, it’s time to figure out what players would bring value to this team.
Next up is playing and winning enough to get back some respect from teams throughout the NFL. Make teams hate coming to Cleveland, especially in the colder months, because they know the Browns play well in the cold.
Cleveland also needs to protect home-field, so that they can get back real home-field advantage. Let’s be honest here, the Browns don’t have home-field advantage right now. This team’s play on the field disables that. When they start to play better, that will easily and quickly return. You can’t play hard for one quarter and expect to have that advantage back all-season long. That’s not how it works in the NFL.
I really don’t care what any outsiders, fans, non-football people or media members think about Cleveland, the people that live there or the fan base in general. I know Cleveland is a beautiful city and Clevelanders love their teams and this region. I’ve come in contact with many people at my job that has said downtown Cleveland, the stadiums, bars, restaurants and other attractions like the Cuyahoga national park, Science center and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are great and that they’re planning on coming back.
Therefore, unless you’ve been to Cleveland or this region in general, don’t judge us based on someone else’s opinion or from events that have happened decades ago. Come to this area yourself and see why Clevelanders are so passionate about their city and their teams.
Remember, this is Cleveland, Ohio. This is considered a mid-sized market, we have nice weather for half the year, we don’t have nice beaches like Miami, we don’t have a bunch of skyscrapers to look at, live in or work at like Chicago, New York and so on, we don’t have a million people living within the city limits and despite what former Cavalier Kyrie Irving said, though we don’t have a lot of people hanging around downtown constantly, like Boston, New York, Chicago and so on, Cleveland is a very live sports town and we’re not afraid to show it, whether we’re in our town or out of town. And that’s just how I like it.
