Cavaliers (16-5, 1st in Central): After their impressive 114-84 victory over the Miami Heat last night inside Quicken Loans Arena, the NBA’s defending champion Cavaliers find themselves riding a three-game winning streak.

Tonight’s match-up marks the second game of a back-to-back set for the Eastern Conference-leading Cavaliers.

Through the early stages of this year’s season, the Cavaliers are 10-2 at Quicken Loans Arena, where they average 115.2 points per game, including five games with 120 points or more.

Hornets (14-9, 1st in Southeast): After their impressive 109-88 victory over the Orlando Magic last night, led by Nicolas Batum’s 16 points and nine rebounds, the Hornets are carrying a three-game winning streak.

Kemba Walker leads Charlotte in the scoring department. The former University of Connecticut stand-out and ninth overall selection in the 2011 NBA Draft (Charlotte) is averaging 23.6 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Batum leads the Hornets in both rebounding and assists, averaging 13.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per contest.

Tonight’s game will be the second of four scheduled bouts this season between the Cavs and Hornets (at Charlotte on December 31st and March 24th).
