The game was pretty close throughout as the pitching was not good but not bad. Captains starter Aaron Davenport pitched 4.1 innings giving up 2 runs on a 2-run homer to Lazaro Armenteros in the 2nd inning. Davenport finished the night with 6 SO but also 6 walks and left the game with the bases loaded. But instead of panicking, the Captains brought in reliever Jamie Arias who struck out 2 batters to get out of the jam unharmed as the Captains held on. Reid Johnston came in pitched an almost perfect 4 innings, except giving up a solo shot to Armenteros for a second homer of the night to tie the game at 4. In came Greene with the clutch hit to score Cesar Idrogo for the game winning run.
