Bowling Green Football; three takeaways from the first three weeks

1. James Morgan has hit a Plateau
There was a lot of hype coming off a respectable redshirt freshman campaign from James Morgan after he threw for the most touchdowns by a freshman in Bowling Green history. There was a reason for optimism.

However, it does not seem as though Morgan has taken that step towards becoming the quarterback for the future for the Falcons. Late in the game vs Northwestern Morgan was replaced by freshman, Jarret Doege.

Doege went on to complete 12 of his 18 passes for 90 yards. Coach Jinks said in his post-game interview that no message was sent to Morgan, but he wants to see consistency from his quarterback. He also stated again that if things aren’t going well then he is not afraid to make changes. With that said, I expect Morgan to start, but be given a short leash against Middle Tennessee.
