Players To Love And Hate In Week Eight Of Fantasy Football

Loves:

QB Philip Rivers SD $8,500
Rivers is finding a permanent spot here. With the Chargers not being able to run Rivers has to keep chucking it up. The Ravens are among the worst teams in the NFL against the pass so Rivers is a safe bet to be up here.

QB Matt Ryan ATL $8,000
Ryan hasn’t been doing the best lately but I think this can be the week that he starts to turn things around. The Bucs aren’t good defensively and blew a huge lead to Washington. Julio Jones is finally looking healthy and can have a monster week.

RB Marshawn Lynch SEA $8,300
The Cowboys give up the second most points to opposing running backs. Lynch also put up 122 yards last week on the 49ers. With Cassel playing poor, the Seahawks might get a lot more possessions.

RB Chris Ivory NYJ $7,700
The Jets have relied on Ivory quite a bit this year and he’s delivered for them. Oakland is among the most inconsistent teams in the NFL so you don’t know what you are really going to get from them. However it is still a matchup that favors the Jets running the ball.

RB Doug Martin TB $7,500
Martin has been on a tear lately rushing for at least 100 yards in each of his last three games. While the Falcons don’t allow a ton of rushing yards each week, they have allowed as many rushing TDs as any team in the league. Martin may find it a couple more times as well.

RB Chris Johnson ARI $7,300
Insert any RB playing the Browns here. Johnson should be the one in line to get the most carries against the Browns and should be a safe bet to have a decent day.

RB Khiry Robinson NO $5,200

Here’s the value play for backs. Robinson is starting to see an increase in the amount of carries he gets each week especially around the goal line. As long as he can continue to get those carries he is worth the chance especially going against the Giants this week.

WR Odell Beckham NYG $8,700
I really like Odell for some reason this week. I’m torn between playing him and Brown but I’m going with Brown. Beckham will play a Saints defense that is known for giving up some big plays. They are starting to play better but you can’t really cover Beckham no matter what you do. My gut just says it’s going to be a big week for him.

WR Mike Evans TB $7,800
I wanted to put him on my love list last week but I didn’t have the guts to do it. Vincent Jackson seems doubtful this week so if the Bucs want to win this one then they are going to have to rely on Martin on the ground and Evans through the air.

WR Alshon Jeffery CHI $7,700
Jeffery had a huge return from his injury before the bye last week. The Bears have had two weeks to prepare for the Vikings and Cutler has done well with Jeffery.

WR Davante Adams GB $5,300
He will be my value guy this week. I’m not really in love with any of the cheap wide receivers this week. If he plays he can be valuable. None of the other receivers in Green Bay stepped up and claimed a role during his absence so he can easily revert back to being the number two receiver when he comes back.

TE Greg Olsen CAR $6,400
Olsen is a starter week in and week out this year. The Colts defense is just so bad. Olsen can come in there again this week and have another great week.

TE Heath Miller PIT $5,000
He can be another value option if you want to spend your money elsewhere. With Roethlisberger coming back everybody’s value is increasing. Miller can be one of them as a potential redzone threat.

DEF Seahawks $5,200
The Seahawks would be the alternate defense that I would look at. Whether its Weeden or Cassel, the Cowboys QB play has been miserable. You cannot afford to make big mistakes against the Seahawks and with Randle out that’s another strike against the Cowboys.
