Let’s stay with guys who will take over for injured running backs, and with that Williams has to be on the list for a pickup this week – if he’s available.
There’s no question that Williams, who had a great first week when Le’Veon Bell was suspended, will get the majority of carries for a Steelers team that hosts the red-hot Raiders Sunday.
Williams collected 110 total yards on 13 touches this past week, and you can look for him to at least get 20 carries vs Oakland on Sunday at Heinz Field.
An injury to Bell is exactly what the Steelers got Williams for, and now it’s time for him to get the shot to step up and make an impact.
