Six Takeaways From the First Day of the 2017 NFL Draft

6.) Still Plenty of Talent Left
The depth of the Draft is showing as there are still a lot of first round caliber players on the board that teams will be willing to move up for Friday night. Every player that went on Thursday I thought had a right to go but there are still some top names to watch for early in round two.

With the run on QBs, I’m interested where DeShone Kizer and Davis Webb ultimately end up. There are a lot of guys on the offensive line still there as I’m probably most shocked that Forrest Lamp did not go Thursday and Cam Robinson is still there as well. Of the five first tier RBs, Cook, Mixon, and Kamara still remain on the board.

Jonathan Allen was the only interior defensive lineman taken Thursday leaving a lot of names for Friday that will go between the two rounds. Then of course there is the fortune of defensive backs that will fly off the board in any order. Look for lots of movement tonight.
