PREVIEW: The Indians try and take second game against Seattle with Kluber on the mound

2. Production elsewhere

It’s very cliche to look for positives in losses, especially in April; however, the Indians were able to score four runs in Thursday’s nights loss, thanks to home runs from Edwin Encarnacion and Yonder Alonso.

Most of the Indians line-up has been inconsistent through the first 23 games of the season, but they have been able to hit just enough home-runs (28) to give the Indians a plus-10 differential on the season and a 13-10 record. Although it’s April, one does have to start wondering if the Indians will be able to consistently score runs without having to rely on the long ball. This lineup has enough guys that have the ability to get timely base hits, but thus far they haven’t been able to strike while the iron is hot.
