Players To Love And Hate In Week 10 Of Fantasy Football

My Lineup:

QB Matt Stafford DET $6,900
The value play is coming out early. In the last three games the Packers have allowed 503, 340, and 297 passing yards. The fantasy points to QBs would be a lot more if Peyton could have scored any TDs. The Lions may be struggling but so are the Packers but nobody wants to lose a rivalry game.

RB DeAngelo Williams PIT $7,600
A rookie QB is going on the road against the worst run defense. That sounds like a recipe for a big game for Williams who looks like he’s turned the clock back five years.

RB LeGarrette Blount NE $6,900
Dion Lewis being done for the year means that Blount is going to be fed a ton of carries. Blount got 29 carries last week. We should see 20+ carries again this week.

WR Calvin Johnson DET $8,000
We already talked about why I like Stafford. I also am going to like his top target. He has put up at least 11 points the last three weeks. Let’s see if he can up that number this week.

WR Demaryius Thomas DEN $7,900
The Chiefs allow the most points to opposing WRs. Thomas is still the top guy for the Broncos. You have to like his matchup this week against the Chiefs.

WR Alshon Jeffery CHI $7,600
He’s put up at least 20 points his last three weeks. It does not seem to matter what you do you are just going to have a hard time stopping him. The Rams do not have a star corner to match up on him.

TE Jordan Reed WAS $5,800
He did not have a big game last week but he gets the Saints this week. The Giants were able to put up 52 on them and Mariota even threw for four TDs last week. Reed is Cousins favorite target. I expect a huge game from him.

K Sebastian Janikowski OAK $4,600
Janikowski is best known for his big leg. He’s kicked at least four XPs the last three games so Oakland has been able to move the ball. This is more a gut call but I hope he can come through with some more FGs this week.

DEF Panthers $4,700
I love the Panthers defense this week. They get a rookie QB. I don’t care that he threw four TDs on the Saints last week, he is vulnerable. The Titans still lack a run game to help and Norman should be a Pro Bowler at CB this year.
Loves:

QB Tom Brady NE $9,100
The Giants haven’t played any great QBs besides Drew Brees this year. When they did, they allowed 7 TDs. I’m not sure how much you’re willing to spend on a QB but Brady could be well worth the investment. The Giants have only recorded 12 sacks on the year so without a pass rush Brady can pick apart the secondary.

QB Blake Bortles JAC $7,800
The Ravens allow the second most points to opposing QBs. Blake Bortles is a legitimate top ten QB. He has some weapons on the outside that can give the weak Ravens secondary a run for their money. Bortles is among the must starts for mid money QBs.

QB Kirk Cousins WAS $6,500
This is a good week for some lower value QBs. Cousins plays the Saints this week that have been torched routinely. He now has all his playmakers back with Jackson and Reed returning from injuries. There’s no reason he should not be among your top considerations.

RB Demarco Murray PHI $7,700
It took him some time and he is finally putting up some respectable numbers now. This is also his debut on my love list. The Dolphins allow the second most rushing yards per week so he has a chance to break free this week.

RB Mark Ingram NO $7,500
Four is the magic number here. He is fourth in points per week among RBs and the Redskins allow the fourth most rushing yards per week. If the Saints want to protect their defense than they should try and control the ball and let Ingram do his thing.

RB Darren McFadden DAL $7,000
McFadden has just been fed the ball repeatedly with that line and the poor QB play. Lucky for him the Buccaneers are not that great of a team. With all his opportunities he should be able to convert on one of them.

RB James Starks GB $6,000
Starks has not had over ten carries a game with Lacy healthy. However he still catches passes and is involved in the game at all times. Detroit allows the third most rushing yards a game.

RB Ryan Matthews PHI $5,600
He will be in here for my other sleeper pick. Once again the Eagles have a great matchup against the Dolphins. Both their RBs get involved and he has scored a TD in three of his last four.

WR Julian Edelman NE $8,000
Edelman’s numbers have decreased since LaFell has come back. This week, the matchup is all Patriots. Edelman’s size makes him shifty and hard to defend. He can get loose pretty easy and with the Giants allowing the second most passing yards Edelman might be worth it.

WR Allen Robinson JAC $7,500
WR Allen Hurns JAC $7,300

I’m just going to lump these two together because I love them both and am still trying to justify to myself how I could not put one of them in my lineup. The Ravens give up the second most points to opposing WRs. Robinson is the safer bet getting a lot of catches and yards scoring at least 15 in four straight. Hurns on the other hand has scored a touchdown in six straight games. Take your pick.

WR DeSean Jackson WAS $6,000
Once again anybody playing the Saints right now is worth a shot. Jackson just came back last week from injury and didn’t record many stats but neither did the Redskins. With another week he can really be primed for a breakout game. As a number one receiver in that option, $6,000 for him is a steal.

WR Cecil Shorts HOU $5,400
Here’s the deep value play for those looking. Shorts is coming back from an injury but all the receivers from Houston have done well on the year. Granted most of that is due to the shear amount of garbage time they play in but in fantasy world that’s gold. If they want to take down the unbeaten on MNF somebody will have to step up.
